GIVE

The following links will take you to places where you can donate to help the fight against housing inequity in Portland

Portland Homeless Family Solutions

Portland Homeless Family Solutions empowers homeless families with children to get back into housing and to stay there long-term.

Community Alliance of Tenants

Formed in 1996, the Community Alliance of Tenants (CAT) is Oregon’s only statewide, grassroots, tenant-controlled, tenant-rights organization. CAT educates, organizes and develops the leadership of low-income tenants. Their mission is to educate and empower tenants to demand safe, stable and affordable rental homes. We believe that housing is the basis of a strong community. So we bring tenants together to organize and collectively advocate for fair and equal protections in housing practices and policies.

Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East

Founded in 1981, Habitat for Humanity has built and repaired homes in partnership with over 1,700 people right here in the Portland Metro region. With plans to triple the number of people we serve every year, they are invested in creating a Portland where everyone has the opportunity to build a better life.

Portland Rescue Mission

Portland Rescue Mission provides food, shelter, and other homeless services in Portland.

Rosewood Initiative (highlighted in scene 2!)

The Rosewood Initative works to build a safe, healthy and vibrant community where neighbors can thrive together in the Rosewood neighborhood. They consider the Rosewood neighborhood to be walking distance, or about a half mile radius, from the Max light rail station at 162nd Ave and Burnside on the border of Portland and Gresham, Oregon. The boundaries of the neighborhood are not formal, but rather recognize how Rosewood residents experience their lives.

Vanport Mosaic

Since 2015 the Vanport Mosaic has been telling stories WITH, and not about communities. We share them through films, theater, exhibits, poetry, workshops, tours and more. We engage in uncomfortable and necessary conversations about difficult chapters of our history that continue to be part of our present, while celebrating community strength and resilience.

Albina Vision

Honoring the Albina neighborhood’s past by transforming what exists today into a socially and economically inclusive community of residents, businesses, artists, makers, and visitors. This vibrantly diverse community is anchored by intentionally conceived parks, plazas, combined with civic and cultural event spaces of different size and use, and is seamlessly connected to the river and its surrounding neighborhoods.

A Home for Everyone is the first ever truly community-wide plan and initiative to respond to the crisis of homelessness in Multnomah County. We unite people who experience homelessness; elected officials from Portland, Gresham, and Multnomah County; our local housing authority, Home Forward, and leaders from the faith, philanthropy, business and non-profit sectors in the effort to end homelessness.
